the successful delivery of an 8.2-meter-high storage tank from Alexandria to Cairo — a groundbreaking achievement in Egypt’s Oil & Gas sector and a testament to our team’s unmatched expertise in managing complex, oversized cargo.

This highly challenging multimodal transport operation was executed through a seamless combination of sea, the River Nile, and overland transport.

Faced with restrictions from bridges and high-voltage cables, our technical office team devised a strategic route, avoiding the need for any civil works — a feat no other logistics team in Egypt has accomplished for a cargo of this size and complexity.

The operation involved:

• Booking a specialized barge at the Port of Alexandria
• Transporting the cargo along the River Nile
• Double-handling the tank onto land for its final delivery to Cairo

EWA’s team remains the only one in Egypt to deliver a cargo of this height all the way from Alexandria to Cairo, reaffirming our position as a leader in specialized project logistics for the Oil & Gas sector.
